Marina & Dock Mosquito Control
in Fort Lauderdale & Boca Raton
Intracoastal edges, mangrove vegetation, and standing water around slip areas create some of the most intense mosquito pressure in South Florida. Boat owners and marina guests expect to enjoy sunset from the dock — not fight insects through it.
Waterfront Properties Have the Highest Mosquito Pressure in South Florida
The Intracoastal Waterway, Fort Lauderdale's New River, Boca Raton's Inlet and canal system — these waterways create continuous breeding habitat that no land-based property has to deal with. Mangrove root systems trap standing water. Canal edges accumulate debris that holds moisture. Tidal fluctuation leaves pockets of stagnant water along dock pilings.
No matter how well you maintain a marina, the breeding pressure from adjacent waterways means you'll always be fighting an inflow of mosquitoes from outside your property line. The only effective response is a strong perimeter barrier that reduces what arrives and kills what stays.
We service marinas and waterfront properties from Boca Inlet north through Lighthouse Point, Pompano Beach, Fort Lauderdale's 17th Street marina district, and Las Olas Isles.
Marina Mosquito Control — FAQs
Common questions from South Florida marina operators and waterfront property managers.
Is the treatment safe around boats, fiberglass, and marine surfaces?+
Yes. We treat vegetation, dock structures, and surrounding areas — not the water, not boat surfaces. Our Mosquito Protection Blend is plant-oil based and contains no corrosive compounds. Allow 15 minutes to dry after application.
What about fish and marine life in the water?+
Our formula is applied to vegetation and structures only — never directly to water. The plant-oil actives (Citronella, Rosemary, Castor Oil, Geraniol, Peppermint) break down quickly and are not registered for aquatic use because they don't need to be. We stay well clear of the waterline.
Can you treat properties on the Intracoastal or canal systems?+
Yes — in fact, these are our most common marina and waterfront accounts. Intracoastal-adjacent properties in Fort Lauderdale and properties along Boca Raton's C-14 and C-15 canals have some of the highest mosquito pressure we treat. The mangrove and vegetation edges along these waterways are prime harborage and breeding habitat.
Do you treat the water features or just the surrounding area?+
Our barrier spray targets vegetation and structures around the water. For active standing water breeding — retention ponds, stagnant areas, water features — we can add In2Care stations or IGR larvicide treatment as a separate line item. This targets the larvae before they become adults.
How do you schedule around marina operations?+
We schedule treatment before boat owners typically arrive — early morning, before fueling operations, or during your quietest window. We'll walk the property with your dockmaster or manager to identify the best timing and any areas to avoid.
Can you handle a large marina with multiple docks and a restaurant?+
Yes. We price commercial properties by acreage and complexity. Properties with both a restaurant, bar, and dock area get a combined quote covering all outdoor spaces. One company, one contact, one invoice.
